How the Bed Alarm works
The SensorCare Monitor is an electro-mechanical device for discreetly
monitoring movement from the bed or chair and relaying this information
to a remote source. The mobile unit is used to support independence,
to aid assessment and rehabilitation and to give added protection
in high dependency care |
A sensor panel is located under the mattress/cushion and
the control unit is placed in a convenient position for
the carer to operate. A link connects the monitor into
the nurse call system when required.
As the person moves from the bed or chair in any direction,
a change of pressure is detected. The monitor relays the
information to the carer, allowing appropriate action to
be taken.

An audible and visual alert gives pre-awareness to staff
that help may be required with mobility, continence management
or general care.
